J DAVIES

The story of an eventful summer in pictures and poems. J Davies’ latest tale, also available in print. The road to PARADISE.

Whole Festival, set against the industrial skeleton of Ferropolis, felt like stepping into a hedonistic playground two hours outside Berlin. Everywhere I turned there were bodies adorned in lace, mesh, and jockstraps; beautiful butts glittering under lights; matching outfits pulsing together on the dancefloor; pups tugging playfully at their leashes. It was free, it was liberating, a space where sex and sweat and laughter blurred into one. Along the lakeside beach, people passed around their green, played voyeur, or leaned into exhibitionism. Half the shore transformed into a cruising ground, where fucking and fucking again became as natural as swimming. And then there were the sounds – echoing through tents, spilling out of showers, drifting into the food line – reminders that intimacy was everywhere. Whole was abundance, an unapologetic celebration of queer bodies, queer joy, queer excess.

The festival/series also inspired J’s latest zine, titled Paradise >> AVAILABLE HERE
