Omar Miranda together with Rubén Gómez developed Sudor, a hybrid project between design object and art. Enjoy it!
This series is a visual essay on the body, desire, and domesticity. Through a series of intimate and performative scenes, the male body interacts with the lamp as an extension of its own physicality: dressing, undressing, leaning into it. The lamp—constructed from intimate garments and metal structures—becomes a screen, a shadow, a trace of the corporeal. Light filtered through worn clothing speaks of pleasure, labor, rest, and eros. This photo essay expands the idea of the domestic object as an eroticized and affective archive, reflecting on the tension between functionality and intimacy, the public and the private.

Sudor is a conceptual lamp designed by Rubén Gómez and Omar Miranda, merging a metallic structure with chromed flexibility and textiles rich in meaning. Inspired by the everyday act of hanging worn garments, it transforms sweaty clothes or trompe-l’œil handkerchiefs printed with images of bodies into light diffusers, creating an intimate and organic atmosphere. More than just a lighting object, it’s a gesture – a ritual – a commentary on the body, desire, intimacy, and affect.
Omar Miranda is an architect and designer. Born in Cuba and based in Madrid, his work spans visual arts, architecture, and fashion accessories. He has received awards from COAM and COACM for interior and residential design, and has collaborated on fashion collections that won the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent award. His practice explores the intersection of body, space, and objects through a critical and poetic lens.
