Introduce American artist, Jeff Lee.
Jeff Lee’s work moves beyond the classic forms and the traditional disciplines of portraiture, figurative and still life painting. Using subtle abstraction, bold color and prominent line work, he blurs his subject’s composition, gender, race, age and expression—creating works that are layered, haunting and nuanced. Since 2022, his work is rendered through an elaborated process of repeated application, removal and re-application of various materials, including gouache, ink, pastel, charcoal, and pencil. His continued exploration of painting follows a successful career in fashion retail where his creative skills were applied in the areas of visual merchandising and store design with leading global brands. Jeff currently resides in Orient, New York.
