PERSONAL PARADE

You don’t need a holiday to have a parade! – brand interview with Personal Parade.

Could we start with some background information about you? Where did you grow up, where are you based, and how did you get interested in fashion?
So, at first, we had this grand plan for a big launch, tons of products, you know, the whole production. But then, the pandemic hit, and suddenly we had to decide: wait forever or try something new. Enter boxers! Everyone was couch-bound, so it just made sense. We didn’t even have a website in the beginning, started just with silk taffeta boxers. Fast forward, lace boxers and shorts joined the party and went viral. Our team? Our team members have extensive experience in fashion, especially in marketing with top Ukrainian fashion brands.

Where did the brand name come from, and what does it mean to you?
Our founder was brainstorming with a client. The client, did not like the name. But there it was, the feeling about “Personal Parade,” so our founder thought, “Yep, I’m keeping it for my future project.”

How would you describe Personal Parade in a few sentences?
Personal Parade is where ideas run the show. We’re all about small assortments and unique pieces for your mix-and-match masterpiece.

How difficult/ or what were the pitfalls of creating a brand?
Knowing how fashion is made is super important. It’s all about putting things together, and even if you’re super smart, without a solid grasp of production, it’s a bit like having a great idea with no way to bring it to life.

What fabrics do you use, and what criteria do you use to decide what you will do?
We’re not going for the overly “masculine” vibe. Started with silk, jazzed it up with lace, and now we’re even creating our own brand logo lace fabric. And sustainability is really important for us, recycled fabrics, and the right paints for prints.

What/who inspires you?
Our customers inspire us. We have an amazing community within the brand, and that’s truly inspiring.

Is there a piece that you believe is a signatory of Personal Parade?
Boxers! Lace shorts and bandana swims.

Who is the brand message for, who do you think should wear your clothes?
We adore our community of guys. We create unique pieces, and our guys really appreciate it. We expect Personal Parade to be worn by brave guys with good taste.

What’s the biggest challenge of standing your ground in a world where the market is full?
It’s a battlefield of ideas. But post-COVID and the Ukrainian war, we’re feeling invincible.

What is your opinion on the future of Personal Parade?
We’re in a league of our own, and that’s how we’ll keep rolling. A brand that’s rewriting the rulebook.

Finish the sentences:
Surprise me with:
Your sense of humor, taste, and love you’re willing to share.
I won’t go out without: A power bank and sunglasses.
This turns me on: A man wearing Personal Parade bandanas
