…and there is still extra for the 8th PNPPL magazine! This time, well-known Pineapple contributor Juan Papagni Meca and his model Lucas have a little chat about their work for the magazine.
How did you meet?
Juan: I discovered Lukas around 3 years ago, I saw a picture of him on Instagram and began following him, then I told him that I would love to photograph him and from that moment on we continue chatting and imagining the meeting. So I had the chance to visit Santiago de Chile this February and we finally settled an appointment. We met at the CC Gabriela Mistral, went for a beer and then Mr Provoste kindly offered us his apartment for the shooting.
Descubrí a Lukas algo así como 3 años atrás, vi una foto de él en Instagram y comencé a seguirlo, luego le dije que me gustaría retratarlo y desde ese momento continuamos chateando e imaginando el encuentro. En febrero tuve la oportunidad de visitar Santiago de Chile y finalmente coordinamos el encuentro. Nos encontramos en el CC Gabriela Mistral, fuimos a beber una cerveza y luego el Señor Provoste muy gentilmente nos ofreció su apartamento para realizar la sesión.
Lucas: On social networks, this way I know almost all the people I have collaborated with, especially when it comes to taking homoerotic photographs. The photographers see my photos and I see their work, we talk to each other and try to meet to do a session. With Juan it was something exciting because we don’t live in the same country, so coinciding for a session meant waiting for one to go to the other’s place, and having that possibility was incredible.
Por redes sociales, así conozco a casi todas las personas con las que he colaborado, sobre todo cuando se trata de realizar fotografías homoeróticas. Los fotógrafos ven mis fotos y yo veo el trabajo de ellos, nos hablamos e intentamos coincidir para hacer alguna sesión. Con Juan fue algo emocionante porque no vivimos en el mismo país, entonces coincidir para una sesión significaba esperar a que alguno fuera al lugar del otro, y haber tenido esa posibilidad fue increíble.
What was the first impression of each other?
Juan: When I met Lukas it was like if I knew him from years, he is super chill, relaxed, funny and hot, we connected immediately, you can see that on the images: high temparature chemistry.
Cuando me encontré a Lukas fue como si lo conociera de años, es súper tranquilo, relajado, gracioso y caliente, conectamos inmediatamente, lo puedes ver en las fotos: química a alta temperatura.
Lucas: The first time I met Juan we went to have a beer, we talked for a while and I noticed him nervous, I saw him a little shy at that moment but very excited, talking taking something made us great to let go and get to know each other, we showed each other photos of sessions that we had done with other people and we talked about our common ties. Then in the session we had a very pleasant and exciting dynamic, we were happy with the result.
La primera vez que me junté con Juan nos fuimos a tomar una cerveza, conversamos un rato y lo noté nervioso, lo vi un poco tímido en ese momento pero muy emocionado, conversar tomándonos algo nos hizo genial para soltarnos y conocernos, nos mostramos fotos de sesiones que habíamos hecho con otras personas y hablamos de nuestros vínculos en común. Después en la sesión tuvimos una dinámica muy agradable y excitante, quedamos felices con el resultado.
What was the most exciting thing about the photo shoot?
Juan: I asked Lukas to use a “Thorns” underwear and to get wet with water from the sink, he immediately had a beautiful boner, I guess we all agree with that.
Le pedí a Lukas que usara un slip “Thorns” y se lo mojara con agua del lavabo, de inmediato tuvo una hermosa erección, creo que todos coincidimos en ello.
Lucas: Trying spontaneous things, something exciting always comes out of there. For me it’s great that one manages to get excited or excite the other person by creating homoerotic art, because this is about seduction, and that’s what we are looking for in the photographs, that’s why I think something exciting about the session was that we dared to provoke something seductive in front of the camera and towards the other person.
Probar cosas espontáneas, siempre sale algo emocionante de ahí. Para mi es genial que uno logre excitarse o excitar a la otra persona al crear arte homoerótico, porque esto se trata de seducción, y eso es lo que buscamos que se transmita en las fotografías, por eso creo que algo emocionante de la sesión fue que nos atrevimos a provocar algo seductor frente a la cámara y hacia la otra persona.

Lucas, what makes you happy?
My eyes make me feel happy. I love to marvel through the views, to see things that move me, in every way.
Mis ojos me hacen feliz. Me encanta maravillarme a través de las vista, ver cosas que me conmuevan, en todo sentido.
Lucas, how can a man turn you on?
A man who has confidence in his body is super exciting for me. (I love beards too)
Un hombre que tiene confianza de su cuerpo es súper excitante para mi. (Las barbas me encantan también)
