Pineapple invites you on a trip to exotic Thailand, read the interview with Dome photography and enjoy the unrepeatability of analogue photography!

Could we start with some background information about you? Where you grow up, where you based, how did you get interested in photography?
I’m based in Bangkok but I’m actually original from a countryside of Thailand. After finished university, I worked in fashion industry as a stylist and casting director, seen lots of interesting people that how I start my photography.

You live in Thailand, which for many people from here in Europe is a dream vacation. But what is it like to live there, to be gay?
Thailand is very open for gay community; I have lots of gay friends who always comeback for holiday and some of them are live here but honestly, I think Thailand is a perfect place for all genders.

Did you always know photography was your ultimate go-to outlet of expression?
I’m always behind a camera as a stylist which I really love but after I try one time by accident with a disposable camera when a photographer takes a break on set and see a photo after develop, I know that
this is what I’m going to enjoy.

What is the best thing to being a photographer?
For me is knowing people more and the best thing is most of them (models) and me become good friends.

What makes a guy a good ‘model’ for you?
When they not trying to be sexy too much, I love a natural moment.

Good photos need a little magic or chemistry. Do you have any tricks you use to help the model get in the mood for the shoot?
Actually, I’m not a professional photographer and I always tell all of my models to know about that, so there is less pressure between us during on set.

Your photos look very natural, do you use some post-processing or do you avoid it completely?
My photos are by film camera so there is no post-processing after developing the film. I just need is a good day light and go with the flow.

Who’s are your biggest artist influences?
I have 2 different kind of artist that I really admire. Pierre et Gilles is one of the most magical artists, their work is really fantasy & romantic with sense of humor. The other one is Bruce Weber, I love the way he captures the moment of a models, really natural, romantic, really good lighting.

What do you do when you got time for yourself?
Going to a vintage market where I can find some clothes, books and some furniture. Sometime not just for buying but also for inspiration too.

What are your plans for 2023?
Shoot more! Travel more! & Sleep more!
