How was your summer? In this post, Timmi Taubenschreck tells us not only photos but also stories about his summer experiences. An analogue story from Berlin, ‘Glimpse of Summer’.

If you follow Godsandboys on Instagram you know I really like the aesthetics of jockstraps & socks. I asked friends to join me by the lake. I also texted them “bring your jocks!”. Here we go. Turned out it’s much nicer to not wearing anything.

“You don’t need a car in Berlin”… Ask people living in Berlin and everyone would tell you this. But to be honest, I can’t without. Especially when it comes to shootings on the countryside near Berlin or road trips in summer. After I captured this guy in dusty and dirty fields in the heat we needed a break in the car. His feet were storytelling. My feed were bloody and dirty.

This summer I spent most of the time by my favorite lake called Arkenberger Baggersee near Berlin. It started with the first lockdown in summer 2020. Turned out it became my favorite place for shootings and relaxing. I really like this photo because it’s a typically snapshot. It’s blurry and the light sucks. But I needed to captured this sexy guy running to the water. I don’t even know him.

These two photos are kinda strange for me. You can see 4 different people on two different days and two different situations. It looks like the same vibe. Same feelings and same tension. But for me one of the photos marks a turning point. The colored one is me and a guy I met for a few times this summer. We shared watermelon and weed, kisses and other hot stuff.We spent hours laying in the gras talking about everything. Mostly about dating boys in Berlin and other impossible activities.

The black/white photo shows my ex-boyfriend and his best friend. The last 3 years it became a tradition to meet by the lake. Some of my best photos are results of this small family of 3. Godsandboys actually started with the first photos I took of them. After almost 8 years me and my boyfriend broke up in spring this year. We both liked the idea of “let’s stay friends” and keep in touch and spend time by the lake like the years before. This day was the first time I wasn’t the boyfriend anymore and felt like a person watching two handsome and very familiar guys. This was the last time we met.

Long story short for this dick – after my road trip this summer I came back home to Berlin and opened the Tinder app. I had a match with a cute guy. We texted for some days and met for drinks, snacks and a walk on the countryside. He also asked for photos in Godsandboys style. Well, I always have my camera with me, challenge accepted. The setting was amazing. Endless sunflower fields, the light was amazing and the summer breeze was pure and sexy. For some reason the guy grabbed my camera and started to take photos of me. We were both naked in the fields. You can see the prints of the underwear on my skin because I took it off a few seconds before. This is the last photo of the role and it’s all about me.
