As has become Pineapple’s custom, I’m celebrating the summer with a new issue, the 7th PNPPL zine (not counting special editions). New members and familiar faces joining the new PNPPL, as usual, I have tried to bring together a diverse range of styles in both painting and photography. The fruit of months of work these 14 wonderful contributors who have filled 150 pages with photographs and artworks. Let’s Pine over contributor by contributor.
Enjoy the preview of the 7th PNPPL magazine!
‘Feel that’ – the magazine’s opening story, a little laugh, a little dance, wrapped in black and white, lensed by Arthur Iskandarov played by Zuriko.
Second story, but first with artist feature in the magazine – Great storytelling with vibrant colours – pictures of a visit by Paul-Sebastian Japaz.
‘L’Amité”– A little extra reading in the form of a comic book, a real sweaty summer story archived by Marc Turlan. An editorial about friendship with Mathias & Enzo. By the way Enzo photographed the cover story of the 6th PNPPL magazine, and he also appeared as a model in the 4th zine, back then photographed by Pineapple.
J Geiger, Issue 4 cover story maker is back with a multi-character story, ‘This Is How I Move You’. I am always moved by his work, I hope you are too!
You will definitely pay attention to the next series, ‘Listen to Baptist’ – captured by Dmitry Maximov.
In this magazine Clément Louis has been interviewed among the artists but of course you can also enjoy his paintings too!
Dance is just an imaginary title for this series, but this series reminds me of dancing. Lensed by Spytros Rennt!
Not for the first and not for the last time, a creator of another magazine has been invited to PNPPL magazine. Finn in ‘Lace me up’ captured Pantelis the creator of Coitus & Wet Dream zine.
Clément Legrand – started small, but he didn’t give up… after all, it was only a matter of time before he became ‘LeGrand’!
(extra) Thanks to Juan Papagni Meca and Alfonso del Moral for doing something that has never been done before for PNPPL – gives you the opportunity to see the same story in both photo and painting.
I’ll tell you, there’s always somebody who surprises me and sends me a story and I say, “Well, let’s put that in the print magazine”. This time it was a’One hot afternoon’ with Shawn, lensed by Ori Paul Levi.
How is a PNPPL zine produced? As with most good things, smiles and tears pave the way. ‘Who do you thing when you cry?’ Walter Jenkel asks the question, and while he doesn’t have an answer, I’m sure everyone can think of a few names right now. / Cover story with Toni and Dani.
At the end, someone from the early days. Pascual Rodriguez was the first artist article on the website and I can finally express my gratitude in print for his early trust. Final story and back cover!
Thanks to all the contributors and thanks in advance for the trust placed in PNPPL zine by future customers.
Printed in 200 copies, 150 pages and A5 size (5.8 x 8.3 in)
