Born in Bielefeld, Germany in 1987. Dominik Plassmann acquired his Bachelor in Fashion-Illustration in 2013. Continuing with painting and drawing until graduating in 2018. He studied at the University of Applied Science Bielefeld, Germany and at the Academy of Arts Architecture and Design Prague, Czech Republic. Short after graduating he moved to Berlin where he lives and works. “At the same time fascinated by the human portrait I always questioned the function of norms and conventions in the society everyone has to face especially queer people.” In his work Dominik is using materials such as pencils, aquarelle and acrylic colours. He is also interested in language and therefore uses poems, philosophical texts or simply a shopping list.
