SAMUEL CIMMA – PAOLO/GABRIELE – Issue 6 extra

As before, extra content is being produced for PNPPL zine. The first of these, a short chit-chat with Samuel Cimma and with his models for the magazine, Paolo and Gabriele. Story: ‘How to interact with a stranger‘ / for PNPPL ZINE 6. Location: Italy.

What was the first impression of each other?

SAMUEL: When I saw Gabriele I thought “how tall is he?” and, when Paolo arrived, the same for him. They are definitely taller than me.

PAOLO: First thing I thought when I saw Gabriel was “omg he is so tall”. The first impression I had was of an extremely polite, sweet and cute boy.

GABRIELE: My first impression of Paolo was of a bright guy. He also brought us food, he was very kind.

What was the most difficult thing during the shooting?

SAMUEL: Works with two guys that didn’t know each other before could be difficult, but they were really good and kind, so no problem on this way. As always, it’s difficult for me to work with more than one guy, because I need more concentration – but I like to challenge myself, so that’s it!

PAOLO: There wasn’t anything difficult during the shooting, Samuel was professional and the working environment was serene.

GABRIELE: Personally I was immediately in tune with them, I didn’t feel uncomfortable, it was all very natural and spontaneous.

What was the most funny thing during the shooting?

SAMUEL: I think that the funniest things during this shooting was Paolo, on late, that brought us coffees and croissants for an apologize-breakfast.

PAOLO: The funniest thing was trying not to laugh when we were looking at each other.

GABRIELE: One of the funniest things were Samuel’s jokes to ease the situation.

What do you do if you do not photograph?

SAMUEL: I like studying and reading a lot, specially about History of Art. I love travelling and walk along the streets of the city where I live now, Venice.

What do you do if you do not model?

PAOLO: I’m getting a bachelor in fashion communication.

GABRIELE: I usually draw and I go to art exhibitions when I can.

What makes you happy?

SAMUEL: Small details can make me smile: cats, strange events and sounds, other faces.

PAOLO: Party and friends make me happy.

GABRIELE: Blue skies, nature, the sound of the sea waves, hug my friends and paint.

What turns you on?

SAMUEL: The voice, hands and the neck-shoulder area.

PAOLO: Techno music and rave festivals turn me on.

GABRIELE: Meeting new people and discovering new things.

Describe yourself in 3 words:

SAMUEL: Generous, over looking and old fashioned.

PAOLO: Lazy, vanishing, glittering.

GABRIELE: Empathetic, curious, outsider.
