“My name is Amit Berman, I am 25 years old and originally from a small town near Tel Aviv, Israel.
While moving to Milan in order to study architecture, I had faced some experiences which shaped my current perspective, changed my path and made me start creating my own art.
While doing my quarantine alone in Milan, I had time to re-evaluate myself and my passions. One morning after drinking my coffee on my balcony, reading a book about Matisse – I felt a burst of passion and a strong urge to express myself. So, I have started capturing my thoughts through painting my memories.
Living in Italy is making me feel a constant illusion of nostalgia. My paintings are a result of the merging between the now and then.Thought my art I try to depict my impressions on the search for warmth and harmonic atmospheres.while representing the beauty I see in objects, figures and spaces I am surrounded by.” – Amit
