Happy to introduce Lince Rebelo illustrator/artist from Porto, Portugal. Follow up his soft and delicate visions through this post.
“These works are a serie of works I’ve produced while in quarantine due to the recent pandemic virus Covid-19. Quarantine has made us all horny and locked in home, I can’t help but to think about my lover and how much I would like to hold him right now.
Even tho these works were made with some sexual and love frustration they held the love that I’m holding for my lover while I can’t be with him.”
“Portugal doesn’t have a lot of known queer history, our country has passed through a heavy dictatorship that censured and persecuted the LGBTQ+ community and the scars of that regime can still be seen in the political and social discrimination that it’s still present. The queer movement only started in Portugal in the late 80’s and even tho a massive progress has been made, specially by the eyes of the law, there are still a lot of work to do and as an artist I want to take my part in the fight. Through my pieces I aspire to bring visibility to queer storylines by working about love, sex, and problems that I face as part of the LGBTQ+ community.” – Lince Rebelo
