Focusing on the nude male form through David Lindesay’s pictures.
“The attached images are from a series titled Complicare, Conseres, (Latin for ‘Fold, Folding’) made this year and focusing on the ideal form and its deep history in our visual culture. The tightly cropped presentation of the intertwined bodies and muscular forms offers a close and sensual experience for the viewer. This is heightened by the bodies seemingly aimless grappling, as their bold forms reach for and take hold of one another. Moments of calm are given with the inclusion of the single body images, with the form striking and strong. The combined visual energies of these complex interactions and solid single poses create balance throughout the series. The works are physically small, enhancing their intimate nature and ensuring the viewer close proximity and engagement. ” – David
