Story of a rising city – visiting Tel Aviv through Depuis ce Matin’s photos.
I guess in 5 years Tel Aviv will be absolutely different city. There is no street in the city where you don’t hear construction noise. New buildings are rising everywhere. And somewhere in the middle there are still spots which are frozen, not taken by real estate boom. No one comes here, huge buildings without people, without furniture and doors. So lonely and so naked. That’s a part of the city I love most, guess first of all because it’s very honest. You can see how people lived here, what kind of taste they had. Some rooms still have wallpapers from 80-s: colorfully vulgar, some are minimalistic. Reminds me of people in this city: new person, new story. The only difference people have doors. Sometimes too many. – Depuis ce Matin
