ROMAIN BERGER

Furious – “The goal is finally continue being free, despite Instagram’s constant censorship, no longer seek to conform to the expectations of French galleries, and no longer fear judgement.” – says the creator about the story, Romain Berger. Cover: Blue night.

About Romain Berger

“My work is deeply influenced by photographer David Lachapelle’s mise en scène and director Gregg Araki’s aestheticism in terms of colour. It’s a celebration of life, love and freedom of expression.

My art allows me to explore our world, to highlight our deepest desires, to have fun, while offering a representation of the queer community. This is done through colourful, quirky, tender and erotic settings, while challenging the prejudicial clichés about homosexuals that are still too prevalent in our society.

Over the last five years, I’ve been lucky enough to get several international articles and interviews (The Advocate, Attitude magazine, Männer, among others, which you can find here). In addition, I was a guest on Australian radio in 2021. This recognition led to the publication in September 2022 of “LIFE’S A CABARET” by the English publisher Men on Paper Art, a book bringing together all my photographs since 2018. At the same time, Germany published ‘SEX UTOPIA’, an impressive 400-page book featuring 70 artists from all over the world, of which I had the privilege of being one alongside Pierre et Gilles and director/photographer Bruce La Bruce.”
